What this is

The U.S. Small Business Administration sets, by industry, the maximum revenue or headcount at which a business still counts as “small”. Commercial Finance Partnership screens eligibility against these standards.

Before you start

  • Your primary NAICS industry code
  • Average annual receipts for the last 5 completed fiscal years
  • Average number of employees for the last 24 months

How to get it — step by step

  1. 1

Find your primary NAICS code (the size-standards tool has a lookup).

  2. 2

Gather 5 years of receipts and 24 months of headcount figures, including affiliates.

  3. 3

Enter them into the SBA Size Standards Tool.

  4. 4

Read the result — it tells you whether you are within the standard for that industry.

  5. 5

Keep a screenshot or printout with your application file.

Once you have the document, upload it in your dashboard so an administrator can verify it.
